St. Andrew's Lutheran Church Call Committee
In October 2005, a Call Committee was appointed by the Church Council to identify a new Lead Pastor to recommend to the congregation. Committee members reflected our congregation makeup including background, age, length of membership and congregational activities. The work of the committee has concluded, but we're leaving information on these Web pages in case you have questions on the committee and on the process used to identify and call a new Lead Pastor. You'll also find historical information on our congregation, the position description developed for our new Lead Pastor, and other background information. Thank you for your interest, prayers and input throughout the process.
Process:
Phase 1: Developing a Mission Profile of the congregation
- Gathering information from congregation and staff through conversations in individual and group meetings.
- Obtaining member input through a brief congregational survey.
- Compiling a profile of St. Andrew's: articulate the structure, goals, outreach, ministries, challenges, strengths and opportunities of our church based on information gathered.
Phase 2: Calling a pastor
- Gathering names of potential candidates.
- Reviewing applicants and conducting interviews
- Prayerfully consider each candidate with the goal of selecting a final candidate to recommend to the congregation
