CARE CONNECTION
Mission Statement Our mission is to minister to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of God's people, promoting health and wellness of body, mind and spirit through the power of Jesus Christ. "I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." John 10:10
“Care Connection” is our new congregational care ministry at St. Andrew’s, led by Pastor Cindy Senarighi. The mission of this ministry is simple - “Connecting People to People” - people that need care to people who wish to proclaim and live their faith through caregiving. This new ministry will be based on a team model (known as the “T.L.C.” or Tender Lutheran Caregiver) that recognizes not only the needs of the people receiving care, but the needs of the caregivers, specifically that we are good stewards of the time you have to serve. Here is how it works:
We have identified the five most needed areas of a mutual relationship of care: 1) Homebound, 2) Seniors in senior housing, 3) Post Hospital follow-up, 4) Ongoing support due to longer term treatment, and 5) Grief support. Five teams will be formed and each team will nominate a leader and determine how they want to function, i.e. phone tree, meet as a small group once a month, etc. The large group of five teams will meet quarterly (at least initially as we navigate though this new ministry model together).
If you have an interest in participating in this ministry, fill out a “Care Connection” form found in all kiosks OR call Dawn Carr at 651-762-9146 or Cindy Senarighi at 651-762-9129.
