We who are in AA came because we finally gave up trying to control our drinking. We found out that many people suffered from the same feelings of guilt, loneliness and hopelessness that we did. We found out that we had these feelings because of the disease of alcoholism. Please join us at our meetings. For questions on AA or Al-Anon, call St. Andrew's at 651-426-3261.

Al-Anon
Sundays 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Fridays 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Sanctuary Room 204

The purpose of Al-Anon/Alateen is to help families and friends of alcoholics recover from the effects of living with the problem drinking of a relative or friend. Our program of recovery is adapted from Alcoholics Anonymous and is based on the Twelve Steps, Twelve Traditions, and Twelve Concepts of Service. The only requirement for membership is that there be a problem of alcoholism in a relative or friend. Please join us.

Helpmates
Helpmates is a support group for people who have recently lost a loved one or are going through a divorce. We meet Monday evenings from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in Room 7C of the Youth and Sports Center.

ADHD Support Group
A support group for parents of children with neuro/biochemical disorders such as ADHD, OCD, depression, autism and Tourettes is available at St. Andrew's. For more information contact Cathy Ferrazzo at 651-777-7391.

Grief Support Classes
Thursdays, May 1-29
7-8:45 p.m. Sanctuary Atrium Lounge

When a loved one dies a person begins a long and difficult journey called grief. Left alone, the grief journey can slowly suffocate our life and joy. But with God's strength and grace the journey can lead to healing and wholeness in Jesus Christ. Please join us as together we explore this journey, learning and gathering support from one another along the way. Joanne Zehnder and Cindy Larson, St. Andrew's grief facilitators, will lead these classes.

Cost is $10 for materials. Please register by calling Ronda at 651-762-9105 prior to April 29.

     Shepherd's Pie

Jesus often took time in his ministry to share a meal with others. He valued hospitality and the special way a meal can express God's love and care. The Shepherd's Pie Ministry is an outgrowth of the Good Shepherd's love for his flock. This ministry provides a simple meal to members and friends of our congregation who might benefit from this expression of God's love. "He will feed his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms." - Isaiah 40:1

Cindy Senarighi, Intern Pastor at St. Andrew's, has developed the Shepherd's Pie ministry as a result of her direct connection and interaction with parishioners who were experiencing illness, death of a loved one, life stresses, or a family crisis. The delivery of a meal is not the main focus of this ministry, but rather the outreach and message that we CARE.

There are several ways you can get involved in this ministry:
1) help in the preparation of food items,
2) deliver meals to members and friends of St. Andrew's
3) donate to the ministry with your financial support.

If you know someone who might appreciate receiving a meal OR if you would like to get involved in some manner, please call Cindy Senarighi at 651 762-9129 or Ronda Sowada at 651 762-9105.
