-    A message from Lead Pastor John Hogenson   - It is rare that I have been as excited about the start of a new year as I am about the year ahead of us. I am convinced that 2008 will be looked upon as one of the most important years of all in the life of St. Andrew's. We are now in the process of starting a Mission/Vision process we are calling, "Discovering God's Dream." Together we will discern what God is calling St. Andrew's to do now and in the future. This process will result in a concise Mission Statement; a fuller Vision Statement (a picture of the preferred future that God is calling us to); Core Values; and specific, measurable Strategic Goals and Objectives that will chart our ministry for the future. To make God's dream for St. Andrew's a reality, we will go through a series of "Listening Sessions" involving the entire congregation and the wider community.  Click on "Contact the Task Force" to meet our Task Force members and to share your dreams for St. Andrew's. On Sunday, Jan. 27, we will have a special "Commissioning Service" as we commission Task Force members and celebrate this exciting time in the life of our church. February will be the month when you will be invited to participate in the "Listening Sessions" as we together prayerfully answer a set of key questions about the life of St. Andrew's. When this process is completed, we will have a congregational celebration. St. Andrew's is a vibrant and amazing church. As we go forward, we will claim all that has made St. Andrew's great, while at the same time discern ever new ways that we will make a difference in our area and around the world. At the center of our ministry will be Jesus Christ and a fierce commitment to come to know him more fully and serve him with ever greater joy.
