Hospitality Ministry
The St. Andrew’s Hospitality Ministry ensures a welcoming presence for all worshippers by providing coffee, lemonade, cookies or special treats after each service.
This ministry provides an opportunity to use your gifts to serve others and provide a welcoming atmosphere to those in attendance at St. Andrew’s. It combines “behind the scenes” organizational skills with the gift of hospitality. Hospitality volunteers are placed on teams and serve just once every five weeks.
Our Hospitality Ministry is two-fold: Brewmasters and Fellowship Hosts.
Please note: These volunteer service times reflect the new worship schedule starting August 2 & 3, 2008.
For current volunteer times please contact Joan McCormick - Worship Coordinator at 651-762-9132.
Brewmasters
Brewmasters arrive well before the first worship service (6:45 am in the Sanctuary building, 9:00 am in the Great Hall). Their responsibilities include:
- Making all the coffee and lemonade for the morning
- Placing the cookies on serving trays
- Stocking the coffee carts with cups, napkins, creamer, sugar and stir sticks
Fellowship Hosts
Fellowship Hosts leave the worship service earlier than the other worshippers, and their responsibilities include:
- Retrieving coffee and lemonade carts from the pantry and placing in the atrium
- Placing cookie trays on tables in atrium
- Monitoring coffee, lemonade and cookie supply; replenishing, when necessary
- Straightening tables; cleaning up messes
- The Fellowship Host team assigned to the last morning worship service also rinses out the coffee and lemonade urns, freezes the remaining cookies and washes cookie trays and the serving tables in the atrium
