Annual Golf FUNdraiser in Support of Vision Slovakia

St. Andrew’s will sponsor its 11th annual Vision Slovakia Golf FUNdraiser in support of the Lutheran Elementary School in Martin, Slovakia. The event will be held on Monday, May 20, 2013, at Indian Hills Golf Club in Stillwater. The focus for the 2013 event is “IT’S ABOUT THE CHILDREN.” All proceeds from this year’s event will again go toward the students and programs of the Lutheran Elementary School in Martin, Slovakia.

The event is a scramble format with a 12 noon shotgun start. Registration begins at 10 a.m. with a group photo at 11:30 a.m. Individual registration is $165 and includes green fees, cart, range balls, banquet dinner, prizes, awards and fun.

Sponsorships available for the FUNdraiser range from a tee or green sponsor sign ($200); a business team sponsorship, which includes four golfers and a tee or green sponsor sign ($800); and a corporate level ($2,500) sponsorship for area businesses and organizations.
We will have auction and raffle items, and with 110 pre-registered golfers, Indian Hills will donate a one-year seasonal golf membership valued at approximately $5,000.

Your attendance will help keep miracles happening in Martin with the 279 children in grades one through nine attending the Lutheran Elementary School.

The people of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church have a warm relationship with the people of Martin, Slovakia. St. Andrew's first became involved in Martin by helping build a church in nearby Prievidza, that was dedicated in 1995. Pastor Roger Eigenfeld and Bohdan Hrobon, met about that time while Bohdan was beginning plans for the Bible School in Martin. Since then, St. Andrew's choirs, youth and adult groups have traveled to Slovakia, and the congregation here has helped both financially and by donating time for renovations.
This is a partnership. St. Andrew's is helping them spread the word of Christ, and they are coming here to share with us. It is about working together to spread Christ's word.
