Giving Ourselves Away in Love
Our theme speaks to the powerful truth that the cross of Christ always stands in the center of our mission and ministry. Our Mission Appeal is about coming together to do what we cannot do alone and providing the resources needed to faithfully answer God’s call to be a community of faith that saves and changes lives in our community and around the world. That means strengthening our capacity and inspiration for ministry as we step out in mission in bold new ways.
“Lift High the Cross” is the theme for both our 2012 Stewardship Appeal and our Mission Appeal, where working together over the next three years we will raise funds over and above our annual budget to accomplish the following goals:
Put Christ at the center of all we do! – We will add a new cross to our Sanctuary.
Invest – Invest in much-needed repairs to our beautiful campus.
Feed and House – Feed, house, bring hope, and help people through the work of the St. Andrew’s Resource Center. This campaign will secure the Resource Center for years to come.
Help – Help hurting teenagers by establishing a Tree House ministry on our campus.
Give – Our vision is to give ourselves away in love to the world. 10 percent of what we receive will be given to ministries outside of our campus through the work of our Benevolence Committee.
We kick off our campaign the weekend of Sept. 18, and we culminate our efforts with a celebration of all that God is doing as we give our pledges the weekend of Oct. 30.
The world needs the church now more than ever. Together we will “Lift High the Cross” by bringing help, hope and healing to a world in need of the good news of God in Jesus Christ.
