Small Groups Ministry
Small Groups Mission Statement
The Small Groups Task Force seeks to create and nurture Christian community and discipleship through the expansion and support of a variety of small groups. The task force will encourage groups to develop a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and each other through prayer, study, fellowship and service.
Becoming a Defining Force in Our Church
"God, what are you calling us to do now and in the future?" Pastor Hogenson has put this question before each and every one of us individually, and as the family of believers that make us St. Andrew's. Getting together with a small group can be a great way to explore this direction for ourselves and for our church.
There are many different kinds of small groups currently meeting at St. Andrew's. Some are based on common interests, some are based on common life stages, some are based on the right time and meeting place. All are a great way to develop friendships and grow in one's faith. One is highlighted below along with small group leadership training. Small groups make families stronger, create new families in a torn world, and become a defining force in their churches.
Examine your spiritual life. What will it take to bring you closer to God? Look through this Omnibus, pray for direction. Maybe God is calling out to you to join or participate in one of the many options available here or out in the world. Maybe God is calling out to you to become a leader and help others along their faith journey. If you are already in a group, maybe God is wanting to you to be his messenger and ask a friend to join you. Listen for God's voice.
