Make A Difference In The Life Of A Very Special Child

Can’t go to Jamaica this year? Or going on a Mission Jamaica trip but want to do even more? NOW YOU CAN. For the first time in our Jamaican mission life, you can make a difference for an individual child—and we need three of you for every child!

The Support-A-Child Program allows our sponsors to take a direct role in the life of the child they choose to sponsor. The contributions we receive will enable all of the children at Westhaven to live a better life and will give all of the children there access to opportunities that would otherwise be unavailable to them. You now have a unique opportunity to get involved in international missions without even leaving your home.

The Support-A-Child Program will provide funds for each of the orphans at Westhaven Children’s Home, located in the Copse community in Jamaica. Westhaven’s current funding does not meet the demand for each child’s needs. As a result, there are seventy-six children living at Westhaven who need additional support in order to thrive. Monthly contributions from our sponsors will help to provide clothing, food, educational and recreational opportunities, and medical and dental care for a special child in need.

100% of your contributions will go to the child being sponsored and will be sent down every two months directly to Westhaven. Sponsorship amounts for each child will be accepted for as low as $10.00 per month for a minimum of a one-year commitment. This is a perfect project for your Scout troop or classroom…or how about a family garage sale to raise the funds to sponsor one or two children at Westhaven? How little we would miss $120 in our lives, but how much that amount will buy in Jamaica for a sweet orphan!
