North Shore Dragon Boat Festival

Be a part of the St. Andrews WOTE Dragon Boat Race Team! Join a league of 22 women paddlers for the adrenalin rush you have been longing for! Once again, Grand Marais, MN and the shores of Lake Superior will be the stage for the Dragon Boat Festival. No paddling or parade experience needed. We will camp in the Municipal Campground and have complete run of this charming town. Your fee of $100 reserves your spot in the boat.

Women on the Ledge-Step 2- Basic Outdoor Rock Climbing
Sunday, May 18, 10:30 a.m.- 6 p.m.
Kick off the summer with an introductory rock climbing lesson at Taylor’s Falls. We will meet at St. Andrew’s and car pool to this destination climbing location on the beautiful St. Croix. Bring a little something to share for lunch. All safety equipment and expert instruction will be provided by Vertical Endeavors. The cost for this trip is $55. Please register by May 11.

For women who hang on the ledge. Interested in climbing with a group of women on an ongoing basis? We often are found at Vertical Endeavors in St. Paul on the first Sunday afternoon of each month.
Horseback Ride on the Gateway Trail

This is an opportunity to take horseback riding lessons and share your love of horses with other women from St. Andrews. Each session will consist of two riders and last for 45 minutes to 1 hour. All skill levels from beginner to advanced will be offered. So if you want to renew your love of horses or try riding for the first time, this is for you. Debbie Resch from the Rockin R Ranch in Grant will give the lessons. This event can be used as preparation for the Prairie Sky ride in September. Please sign up for the lesson times according to your skill level. Cost is $40.00 per person and payment can be made at the stables at the time of your ride. Call Debbie at 651-439-6878 at least one week in advance with your questions or to make reservations.
Kayak and Canoe down the St. Croix
Sunday, July 13 at 10:00 a.m.
Meet at St. Andrew's and carpool to the canoe launch at Interstate Park at Taylor's Falls. Bring your own craft or rent one there (cost is approx $35). There is no additional cost to this event so please bring a lunch or better yet a treat to share. This would be a great chance for the dragon boat team to practice paddling! Sign up by July 8.
