The stories are yours already, so come learn how to share them with others in a quick, concise, and compelling manner. Join the Rev. Andrea Roske-Metcalfe, Twin Cities Moth GrandSLAM storytelling champion, to learn tips and tricks for upping your storytelling game.
These hour-long sessions will be workshop-based, as we offer and receive feedback from one another from a place of compassion and vulnerability, and will culminate in an (optional) open-mic night later on in February. Open to all levels of skill and experience.
Andrea Roske-Metcalfe is a pastor, writer, and storyteller. She’s a 3-time Twin Cities Moth StorySLAM champion, and winner of the 2017 Twin Cities Moth GrandSLAM. The founder of the PrayGround movement from her time as pastor at Grace Lutheran Church in Apple Valley, she now serves as Interim Director of Children’s Ministry at Christ Church Lutheran in Minneapolis. Having sold their house early last year just in time for the pandemic to interrupt their plans to usher in the Young Adults in Global Mission program in Nepal, Andrea currently lives in her parents’ basement with her spouse and their two children. Her primary vocation during these Unprecedented Times is serving as first grade tech support.
