Marriage in the Middle – A Midwinter Relationship Refresher
Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, 6:30-9:00 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 24, 9:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m. – Great Hall
What makes your partnership unique, and how can you build on it? All couples are welcome to attend this opportunity to enjoy time together, meet other couples and be encouraged as they consider their relationship.
Marriage in the Middle is facilitated by Jeff and Mary Sanders, who speak regularly in academic, church and community settings on topics related to relationships. They have been facilitating marriage retreats since 2003. They have a passion to engage couples in the places they find themselves. They don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to marriage. Rather, they encourage couples to lean into their unique way of doing relationship and build on it.
The Sanders view “Marriage in the Middle” as a way to describe how couples live out their marriages. This includes our life stage, and can include growing children, aging parents and societal and work challenges and changes.
Mary is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, based in the Twin Cities. She received her MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Bethel Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she now teaches in the Marriage and Family Therapy Program and at the Graduate School. Mary is the founder and owner of Community Life Resources LLC, a multi-faceted company that provides relationship resources for people in a variety of settings. Jeff serves at Bethel University as the Associate Dean of Formation and Professional Development. He is also an ordained minister and licensed Marriage and Family therapist.
The cost to attend is $60.00 per couple, which includes dessert Friday night, plus continental breakfast and lunch on Saturday. Please register online by Monday, February 19.
