Special Event: Aging With Gusto Series
Thursdays, Feb. 14, 21 and 28, 2019 – 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. – Sanctuary
Our attitudes about aging have an impact on our quality of life, health and even longevity. Join us for this series of three sessions to:
– Examine your views on aging and listen to the views of others
– Understand the influences on your views, including the impact of widespread biases and misconceptions about people as we age
– Learn how to integrate a new, more positive narrative about aging into your life.
Free and open to everyone. Registration is required by February 11. Register: tinyurl.com/ycbx9y4m. Questions? Contact Caroline Schultz, Aging with Gusto Coordinator, email@example.com or 612.964.4016. Aging With Gusto is a program of the Vital Aging Network. This series is sponsored by 2nd Half with Lyngblomsten.
If you or your loved one has a need for a visit, either during or after a hospitalization, we are here to serve. Our team of pastors, parish nurse, and trained volunteers “bring the church” to you as part of our comprehensive health and faith approach. St. Andrew’s Village
St. Andrew’s Village, a senior housing community operated by Presbyterian Homes, is located on the north side of our campus, just off of East Avenue. We have an active partnership with the Village, and provide chaplaincy support, weekly worship and other spiritual resources.
Worship at the Village – Sundays, 1:00 p.m.
Pastors from St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, as well as musicians, conduct weekly worship at the Village. Residents, their friends and family members are welcome.
If you find it difficult to park and walk to church, we’ve got you covered! Our Valet Ministry at the Sunday morning Sanctuary services will help you out of your car, park it, and then retrieve it for you at the end of the service.
Blood Pressure Screening
We offer free blood pressure screenings on the 2nd Sunday of the month, from 10 – 11:30 a.m. in the Atrium of the Sanctuary. Stop by before or after the Traditional Service.
