Children, Youth, and Family’s COVID Update

By |2021-08-26T08:42:23-05:00August 26th, 2021|Children's, Youth & Family|

Dear St. Andrew’s families,  We can’t wait to worship with your children this fall as we all settle back into our normal routines!  As you likely know, COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Washington County, in Minnesota and across the nation, largely due to the high contagiousness of the Delta variant. Meanwhile, the Mahtomedi school district recently announced it will require students to wear masks indoors and on school transportation until mid-October, at which time they will reassess the situation.  Because many of our youth are not able to get vaccinated, St. Andrew’s will also require masks to be worn by all students, staff, volunteers and visitors during all of our children, youth and family programs this fall. The exception will be preschool ministries and those attending Preschools of St. Andrew’s, as the Minnesota Department of Health does not require children five and under to wear masks.  We’ll continue to carefully monitor the situation as we have been, taking direction from the CDC, county, Mahtomedi school district, and the St. Andrew’s COVID-19 Task Force. Our goal is to keep our kids safe, and to be able to continue meeting together as a church community. We need your help to do this, and we thank you in advance for your support. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Pastor Sarah Breckenridge. The CYF Team
