Dauntless Devos New opportunity for kids in Grades 4 & 5! Dates: Sept. 27 (limit 10 participants), Oct. 18 and Nov. 15, 1-2 p.m. Register today for any/all of these events! Dauntless Devos is a new monthly gathering especially for our 4th and 5th graders! We'll meet monthly in September, October and November, 1-2 p.m. on a Sunday afternoon. Led by Sarah Dorr, Children's Ministry Associate, kids will have fun hanging out together, exploring a devotion and playing some physically-distanced games. This is a free event, but pre-registration is required for each session. Dauntless Devos will meet outside; in case of inclement weather we will meet in the new Fellowship Hall. An email will be sent in advance of each gathering to all registered participants reviewing the current COVID-19 safety protocols for church events.

This fall we are excited to offer Digital Dock! Digital Dock will be a 12-15 minute broadcast following online worship services. These broadcasts will include an introduction/welcome by Children's Team members, message from one of the Pastors, bonus challenge for the week, a song and a prayer and blessing. We’ve designed this year’s Confirmation to be safe, manageable, and flexible, while limiting online/screen content and finding ways to connect youth with each other, parents/guardians, and adult mentors. Getting Ready: You will need: Spark Story Bible or Connect Bible Internet and printer for story, song, and coloring sheet links What is Faith5? Faith5 is a simple faith practice that can be done at bedtime, after a meal, or at a special time for quiet each day. Faith5 includes five simple steps: Share your highs and lows Read a Bible verse or story Talk about how the Bible reading might relate to your highs and lows, or what you heard that feels important Pray for one another’s highs and lows Bless one another Our Sept. 5/6 Faith5 Lesson: Jesus Cleanses the Temple Gather everyone in a comfortable spot and get settled in. Invite each member of your family to share their highs and lows for the day. You can use the words blessings and bummers instead. Someone might choose to pass or not have anything to share, and that’s ok. Read the Gospel text found in Matthew 21:12-17 on page 1100 in the Connect Bible, or read (watch the video) Jesus Stops the Temple Market told from the book of John. This story is not found in our Spark Story Bible, but it is found in the Gospels of Mark (11:15-17), Luke (19:45-46) and John (2:13-22)! It’s a great lesson about respecting God’s house - our church home. Pay special attention to Matthew 21:15-16 to learn about how people heard the children praising God. Talk about the Gospel text of story (video), taking turns offering what you heard that relates to high/lows or what felt important. Pray for one another’s highs and lows.
