Our plans may need to change, but we want you to have a sneak peek right away. Registrations will begin to open in the coming weeks – stay tuned for details. 110 9th Graders were confirmed on Reformation Sunday in a very unique way. As a final expression of faith before their Confirmation, all our confirmands were asked to produce a Faith Project. The topic: How does your faith change how you see the world? Students were an integral part of the morning online and in-person worship services. Here are a few of the pieces from those worship services. Lessons read by Shelby, Ally, Jacob, and Josie Prayers with a Dance of Prayer by Solana “God Is” Statements as the Proclamation of Praise Lip-Sync to the Hymn of the Day A Little Too Long Now: (An original song by Spencer Anderson, sung with his two brothers Samuel and Simon) Lucy Ross preforming Here I Go by Mia Stegner (sung and recorded with permission from the artist) Lucy Ross preforming Share A Home by Mia Stegner (sung and recorded with permission from the artist)
Hey 9th Grade families! My name is Per Nestingen. I’m the High School Minister at St. Andrew’s. I get to guide you through the end of your Confirmation journey and I feel so lucky to have this as part of my ministry. Here is a quick summary of how to get started; if you want all the details, read my extensive information below. Confirmation Day is October 25, 2020! We know it will include an online worship component in the morning (9 and 10:15 a.m.) that all can view. We also feel it's important to have an in-person component for the actual Rite of Confirmation. The extent to which we gather and who can participate will be decided later, but it will at least include each small group and parents/guardians. If we can figure a way to include more people, we will, for we know how special of an occasion this is for your entire family. Please register for 9th Grade Confirmation HERE. The cost this year is only $40. The first step in this process is to schedule a 1-on-1 meeting with Per in August. Please do that HERE. I’m so excited to meet with you all! Please email me ALL your questions, as I sincerely want you to feel totally informed and comfortable over the next three months.
