Digital Dock – Episode 1.1

This fall we are excited to offer Digital Dock! Digital Dock will be a 12-15 minute broadcast following online worship services. These broadcasts will include an introduction/welcome by Children's Team members, message from one of the Pastors, bonus challenge for the week, a song and a prayer and blessing. A Digital Dock Lesson email will be sent each week that will help to provide extra content to dive a bit deeper, beyond the video. Here is this week's video broadcast! Lesson for Sept. 13 Registration is now open! Because we are going digital this fall, we are offering the option, when you register, to pick up a lesson packet for each 4-6 week unit. Also, by registering now you will receive updates on our plans and other Children's Ministry opportunities as they are developed this year, including information regarding the return of in-person Dock classes. Faith5 is a simple faith practice that can be done at bedtime, after a meal, or at a special time for quiet each day. Faith5 includes five simple steps: Share your highs and lows Read a Bible verse or story Talk about how the Bible reading might relate to your highs and lows, or what you heard that feels important Pray for one another’s highs and lows Bless one another Our Sept. 5/6 Faith5 Lesson: Jesus Cleanses the Temple Gather everyone in a comfortable spot and get settled in. Invite each member of your family to share their highs and lows for the day. You can use the words blessings and bummers instead. Someone might choose to pass or not have anything to share, and that’s ok. Read the Gospel text found in Matthew 21:12-17 on page 1100 in the Connect Bible, or read (watch the video) Jesus Stops the Temple Market told from the book of John. This story is not found in our Spark Story Bible, but it is found in the Gospels of Mark (11:15-17), Luke (19:45-46) and John (2:13-22)! It’s a great lesson about respecting God’s house - our church home. Pay special attention to Matthew 21:15-16 to learn about how people heard the children praising God. Back-to-School Blessing for Students and Educators

We invite all students returning to learning this fall (preschoolers through college students) to participate in a special blessing during online worship services the weekend of Sept. 5-6. We’ll also lift up teachers, school leaders, and all who work in support of schools and homeschooling.
