Camp Information Sheet for Middle School Campers

More than 125 youth attend an incredible week of faith and fun at Camp Wapo, including large group sessions, worship, free-time games, campfires, and more. Our 2019 theme is “Wonderers” — and you’ll just have to wonder what this means! Camp Wapo is located near Amery, Wisconsin, about an hour from the church, and is a beautiful setting to explore God’s creation and to grow in faith. The program is led by St. Andrew’s staff, summer interns, and 65 high school leaders. This is a week not to be missed!  A summer camp or mission experience is required at least once as part of the Confirmation program.

Youth attending Confirmation Camp first register with St. Andrew’s and then complete their registration (including health information and a medical release) with Camp Wapo.  A link to complete the Camp Wapo registration will be provided to you after you register with St. Andrew’s.

St. Andrew’s provides bus transportation from St. Andrew’s to Camp Wapo on Monday morning.  Parents pick up their campers at Camp Wapo late afternoon on Friday.

Each morning we gather at St. Andrew’s to start with a word of prayer and bless the day.  We then travel by vans to various locations in the Twin Cities for service opportunities with incredible people who have a deep love for their communities.  After lunch, we spend the afternoon having fun together (past experiences have included a waterpark, Mall of America, and Como Park Zoo). The program is led by Josh Carlson, Middle School Youth Minister, and summer youth ministry interns. Join us for Wednesdays of service and fun!  Come to one — or come to them all!

July 24: Union Gospel Mission and Sky Zone
July 31: Lyngbloomsten and Mall of America

As an added bonus, we’ve arranged for several St. Andrew’s participants to join in the on-field promotional activities during the game. Cost is $20 per person for reserved in-field seats; children under age 2 that do not require a seat are free of charge. Register by June 15.
