Skipping Stones Ministry
Our Skipping Stones ministry celebrates six moments in a child’s journey of life and faith, reminding them they are a beloved child of God and part of a church family. Each Skipping Stone includes an interactive workshop to support families in fulfilling baptismal promises to nurture faith in their children. We then celebrate and bless children/youth during worship as a reminder that the congregation also promises to encourage families in the life of faith.
First Communion
A child’s preparation for First Communion is provided as one of our Skipping Stones ministries for those in grades 1-5. Children (with a parent) attend a fun, experiential Saturday morning workshop and then receive their first Holy Communion with their family during a worship service.
