Baptism

Baptism, one of two sacraments offered in the Lutheran church, welcomes all into God’s family. Baptism is the first Skipping Stone in our Skipping Stones ministry that celebrates significant moments in a child’s faith journey. Families are expected to attend a baptism workshop prior to the baptism of each child. Learn more on the Baptism Ministry page.

Nursery Care

We currently offer care at all Sunday morning worship times: 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Traditional Worship in the Sanctuary and 9:30 a.m. Contemporary Worship in the Great Hall.
We look forward to offering childcare for children ages birth to 5 during worship services. Children with special needs are always welcome. Our nursery is staffed by young adults and adults trained in CPR and first aid. Pagers are provided to parents/guardians in the event they need to be contacted during the service. No prior registration is required.

Preschools of St. Andrew’s

We have two preschool options for your family, a full day program (at St. Andrew’s Village) and a half day program (in the Sanctuary). For more information, visit the Preschools of St. Andrew’s page.

Parents Night Out

Skipping Stones Ministry

Our Skipping Stones ministry celebrates six moments in a child’s journey of life and faith, reminding them they are a beloved child of God and part of a church family. Each Skipping Stone includes an interactive workshop to support families in fulfilling baptismal promises to nurture faith in their children. We then celebrate and bless children/youth during worship as a reminder that the congregation also promises to encourage families in the life of faith.

Preschool Bible Blessing

The Preschool Bible Blessing, designed for children ages 3-5, involves an interactive parent-child workshop and presentation of Bibles during worship and generally happens in the fall.

As preschoolers enter their first year of Children’s Education (our children’s ministry program offered during worship services), we recognize the beginning of this journey by presenting them with a children’s story Bible. As they are introduced to God’s Word, they learn the foundational stories of faith, about God’s love for them and for all people, and about the life and teachings of Jesus.
