Senior Blessing at St. Andrew’s
High school graduation is a time of excitement and celebration (sometimes mixed with stress or uncertainty) as our teenagers mark a significant moment in their journey of life and faith. We send them into all that remains ahead, praying that God will bless, keep, and guide their hearts and reminding them of both God’s constant presence and the love, support, and encouragement of St. Andrew’s faith community.
Each of our seniors is invited to attend a special celebration of their achievement in graduation from High School. This experience is designed for you as a family to honor the achievement, to talk about hopes for the future as you move into a new stage of life, and to bring God into the forming of that new stage of life for everyone involved.
Graduates are invited to wear their cap and gown for worship the morning of the blessing. They will be invited to read the prayers, the lessons, and lead special music if there is interest. During the worship, they will all be blessed by the congregation as they move into this new phase in their lives. Following worship, all graduates and families are invited into the Fellowship Hall for a brief reception and to receive their milestone gifts as you all celebrate!
