Children and Youth Music Opportunities

St. Andrew’s offers a variety of options for children and youth (Grades K-12) to be involved in vocal and instrumental music groups. For details and registration for choirs, please visit the youth music page.

Skipping Stones Ministry

Our Skipping Stones ministry celebrates six moments in a child’s journey of life and faith, reminding them they are a beloved child of God and part of a church family. Each Skipping Stone includes an interactive workshop to support families in fulfilling baptismal promises to nurture faith in their children. We then celebrate and bless children/youth during worship as a reminder that the congregation also promises to encourage families in the life of faith.

Confirmation Ministry

During the three years of Confirmation, middle school youth begin own their faith journey — learning what it means to be a Christian, what make us Lutheran, and what it means to live out our faith in daily life.

During the fall of 9th grade, students who intend to affirm their faith will have four weeks of small group meetings and a weekend retreat to walk through “what’s next” in their faith journey. Confirmation services are held during worship services on Reformation Weekend.
