Hope for the Journey Home Family Shelter

Volunteers wanted at Hope for the Journey Home Family Shelter

HJH Shelter (1)Won’t you consider spending a couple hours at the shelter to play games with kids, help with dinner, or be there overnight so a family without a home has a safe space to spend the night? Your help is most appreciated. St. Andrew’s is seeking volunteers to serve in a ministry of hospitality at the Hope for the Journey Home (HJH) family shelter at Guardian Angels Church, 8260 4th St. N. in Oakdale.

We are looking for volunteers to be present the week of August 6-12, 2017 at the following shifts: 2:30 – 5:30 p.m., 5:00 – 8:30 p.m., or the overnight shift from 8 p.m. – 9:15 a.m.  Click here to sign up for a shift.

You will need a current background check completed through St. Andrew’s during the past two years. Youth age 9 and up may assist with an adult at the shelter.

Contact Debbie Larson at dlarson@saintandrews.org or 651.762.9148 for assistance with registration and/or to begin the process of completing a background check.
