2021 Habitat Project

Habitat for Humanity is a great way to put your faith into action!

Our 2021 Habitat building is a single family home, new construction.

We will build during the following four weeks:
June 28, July 12, July 19 and July 26
8:30 am – 3:30 pm

  • Volunteers are asked to show up on time and stay the entire work day (for production and safety purposes, split shifts are not allowed)
  • Maximum number of volunteers for each day is 12. Volunteers who show up and have not signed up will be sent home.
  • Sadly, we will not be allowed to serve meals. The great meals our lunch volunteers served with help from site hosts will have to wait until next year! BYO Lunch this year, beverages will be provided.
  • We will be accepting donations of Diet and regular soft drinks, sparkling water, juice, sport drinks, chips in individual packages, breakfast bars, hard candy, other candy (e.g.Twizzlers). Contact Vicki Henry (virohenry@comcast.net) with what you plan to bring. Drop donations off at the Great Hall – hallway to the kitchen.

Online Registration and Waiver Instructions

We are excited to have you share your time and talents with our community!  Please watch our Covid-19 Safety Video if you did not volunteer in 2020 and fill out our online waiver using the link below. Each volunteer is required to provide emergency contact information and to fill out our liability waiver.  Please make sure to complete this task before your volunteer day.

Sign in or Create an account

    1. If you are an Existing User, click “sign in” in the upper right-hand corner and then log in to your account
    2. If you are a new user you will need to make an account
  • Click “Create an Account” in the upper right-hand corner to create a new profile
  • Choose a username and password
  • Leave the Join Code field blank
  • Fill out the required information, including your emergency contact

Sign Up

    • Find the opportunity on the date you are available and choose “sign up”. You will then be prompted to sign the volunteer liability waiver.


    • You will receive an email confirming that you have registered for the event. This email will have specific instructions and volunteer guidelines for the day. You will also receive a reminder email shortly before your volunteer day.


More about Habitat for Humanity

2021 is the 30th year St. Andrew’s has helped a family achieve home ownership. Habitat for Humanity is not a charity program. Homeowners make their down payment plus 250 hours of “sweat equity,” (currently suspended due to Covid) and then pay a mortgage with payments set for 30% of their income. Homeowners are carefully selected from needy applicants; only one in ten qualified applicants is offered one of the 50-60 homes built each year by volunteers and Habitat families here in the Twin Cities.

Your Financial Support is Critical

We need to raise $30,000 to pay for the materials we will use during our weeks of building. We will also designate additional funds for the AT HOME FUND, to provide assistance to struggling Habitat homeowners. Habitat for Humanity is not funded through the regular church budget. If you give directly to Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity, please ask that your donation be credited to St. Andrew’s.  Go to saintandrews.org/give, and choose Habitat from the dropdown menu.
