Welcome to the Lord’s Table For Grades 1 and up Do this in remembrance of me – 1 Corinthians 11:24 Workshops are being offered this fall for children (grade 1 and older) and families who would like to prepare for a child’s first experience of Holy Communion. It’s one of our six Skipping Stones to celebrate a child’s journey of life and faith! To maintain a safe atmosphere with a limited number of participants, families may choose to attend ONE of the following workshop options: Sunday, Oct. 18, 4-5 p.m. in Great Hall Wednesday, Oct. 21, 5-6 p.m. in Great Hall Wednesday, Oct. 21, 7-8 p.m. in Great Hall Thursday, Oct. 22, 6-7 p.m. online via Zoom During the interactive workshop, children learn what it means to REMEMBER, RECEIVE, and SHARE in the meal of Holy Communion – exploring what Communion is, what makes it special, how we practice receiving it, and what it means to live out our faith in the world. They're led by Pastor Brian Norsman, Laurel Bornholtz, Erika Hiland, and Mark Jackson. Children attend with at least one parent/guardian or partner adult. Pre-registration is required. To maintain a safe environment at in-person workshops, families will sit at tables with only those from their family unit at a distance from others. Dauntless Devos New opportunity for kids in Grades 4 & 5! Dates: Sept. 27 (limit 10 participants), Oct. 18 and Nov. 15, 1-2 p.m. Register today for any/all of these events! Dauntless Devos is a new monthly gathering especially for our 4th and 5th graders! We'll meet monthly in September, October and November, 1-2 p.m. on a Sunday afternoon. Led by Sarah Dorr, Children's Ministry Associate, kids will have fun hanging out together, exploring a devotion and playing some physically-distanced games. This is a free event, but pre-registration is required for each session. Dauntless Devos will meet outside; in case of inclement weather we will meet in the new Fellowship Hall. An email will be sent in advance of each gathering to all registered participants reviewing the current COVID-19 safety protocols for church events.
